Jacob & Brittany chose a very popular accent color for their wedding…purple. BUT, I love how they did it! Instead of just using a deep purple for everything, they chose to use creams, whites & muted purples to complete the look. The touches of black is the perfect finishing touch to their details. I love this sweet & simple wedding of Matthew & Andrea in Savannah, GA. Andrea loved the mesh of rustic meets elegant and clean. For the ceremony, crates of flowers and ivy adorned the aisles creating just a touch of rustic simplicity. After marrying in the historic Washington Square guests gathered to briefly toast the happy couple for the first time before they made their way to Ships of the Sea museum. The reception details were amazing and helped to create the perfect ambiance. They featured a fabulous wine barrel whiskey bar, a dessert tabled filled with the couples favorite homemade desserts, wine bottle table numbers and wine cork place cards. Love this inspirational shoot of Burlap & Bling! If you love the vintage look, this is a great way to make it more modern & elegant. You simply can’t go wrong with beautiful white florals, candles & accessories with a touch of burlap. Enjoy these amazing images by Kristyn Hogan.
It all started with the royal wedding – beautiful Kate & Pippa both dressed in elegant white gowns. Then came the ill-fated Kim Kardashian wedding, where all the bridesmaids wore white. This got me thinking, is the white on white trend going mainstream or is this something that only royals & celebrities can pull off? I actually like the look if it’s pulled off correctly and doesn’t leave your bridesmaids looking like the bride, but tell us, what do you think of this new trend?
I love looking for inspiration outside of the wedding industry and the Giambattista Valli Fall 2011 Couture Collection did not disappoint. Putting on a simple yellow belt can add a pop of color or wearing a bold necklace can make a big statement and totally change the feel of a dress. Coral is turning out to be a popular color for spring and I think it works well for a bridesmaid dress. A fun purse, gold leaf belt and brushed gold peep toe shoes make the outfit complete!
