Tuesday’s Trendwatch – Bold Printed Honeymoon

February 21, 2012

Bold prints have been seen in many resort collections from top designers. The key is wearing the bold prints with neutral shoes – giving ultimate emphasis to the design itself. Throw a few accessories in with the mix, such as a statement necklace and LARGE shades – and you will look beyond fabulous. These bold prints are the PERFECT time to show off on your exotic honeymoon, beach side, where bold colors are always best. Don’t be afraid to mix and match these prints together. Staying within the same color scheme but with different prints will help you ease into this trend and will make you look very classic and effortless. One of my (ultimate!) favorite sportswear designers that is taking this fashion trend to the next level is Tory Burch. Showing her new resort collection – mixing bold prints seems so easy. From shorts and dresses to swimsuit cover ups – its a timeless way to make a statement but still look so carefree. Keep these looks in mind when packing for your honeymoon – with your new life and new hubby – now is the time to try this new BOLD look.

Tuesday’s Trendwatch – Lily’s Honeymoon Essentials

May 3, 2011

You have planned and planned for your big day.  The time is almost here.  The next exciting part is your honeymoon!  Most couples plan a beach get-a-way, taking in a little surf and sun & relaxing after their big day.  Planning for your honeymoon attire should consist of two words – EASY and COLORFUL.   Think simple dresses in bright pinks, greens and turquoise color palettes.  Elaborate necklaces with long flowy dresses.  Gold and silver sandals – giving you that pop of metallic color.  One of the best designers that incorporates all of the above is Lily Pulitzer.  Just seeing some of her designs just screams tropical local and you can already feel the warmth of the sun on your shoulders.  They are all truly individual pieces.  Dresses that you can just throw on for daytime strolls or nighttime dinners.  Below is a small selection of our favorites.

Just remember, your big day is now behind you – this part of the planning should be easy.

Now, take time and relax – as husband and wife.
