As I was going through the slide show pictures for Carolina Herreara I stopped on this look. The detailing of the belt with the sleekness of the dress is beautifully executed and I love the idea of keeping a color theme with the belt and shoes. It’s perfect for the modern bride’s spring/summer wedding.
This collection by far had to be my favorite from Bridal week in New York. I’ve come to expect gorgeous dresses from Oscar de la Renta but this show turned out to be quite stellar. Dresses with tulle capes and voluminous skirts ruled the runway. The intricate detailing and hints of blue popping up in the dresses were a sweet surprise. As always, I look forward to next year’s show!
Everyone was a buzz over Vera Wang’s Spring 2013 Bridal Collection, and with good reason. Dresses with luxurious amounts of tulle, big ball skirts with over sized hand rolled flowers, and scarlet jewels all made their way down the runway. And then of course there’s the color. Vera describes it as “boldly romantic, charming, protective and in celebration of love.” I hope this is a trend that’s here to stay, I love seeing wedding gowns in all different colors and hope brides embrace it as well. I can’t wait to see her next collection!

It’s that time again, the models have taken to the catwalks and the designers have displayed the best of their collections. Fall Ready to Wear 2012 has come and gone and I’ll be highlighting a few of my favorites. Starting out with Marchesa which I always look forward to seeing! Georgina Chapman and Keran Craig thrusted us into a realm of otherworldliness with their shimmering silhouettes and tulle. White feathers were sewn into the bodices in wing formations and gave the collection a sort of dreamy but still glamorous feel.
