Real Wedding – Kate & Yigal, Los Angeles, CA

April 21, 2010

A touch of class.  A hint of glam. This is everything that Kate Harrison & Yigal Hamias’ October wedding entailed.  From delicate Calla lilies to antique jewels to animal print gifts – Photographer, Joy Marie, captured this wedding in all its details and all of its glamour.  The bride adorned a strapless sweetheart beaded gown with intricate pleats that replicated old Hollywood.  The groom wore a gray herringbone suit that simply complimented the colors of the wedding – purple, gold and silver.  The poolside ceremony took us outside the box and allowed the wedding to use the natural outdoors as a perfect décor.  Simple accessories hung from the trees and the only focus was on the bride and groom.  The reception, which was held at the Skirball Cultural Center, took the ceremony to a turn.  It took us from the simple outdoors to an over the top – no detail went unnoticed – reception.  Guests enjoyed dinner surrounded by hydrangeas and roses and feasted on delicate gold trimmed china.  From dinner to cigars and dancing, the couple ended the night with one simple, yet glamorous wedding to remember.

I love this wedding. Absolutely gorgeous location and I have a necklace just like the blue Milano glass one she is holding. Or at least they look very similar. 🙂 Lovely lovely.
