Unless your husband-to-be has a very serious passion or hobby, deciding what to give him as a wedding gift can be difficult. If you find yourself struggling to find the perfect gift thinking outside the box may be your best course of action. Is your husband-to-be a technophile or an audiophile? Think ipad or vintage vinyl. Does he love to fish or rock climb? Think long weekend fishing excursion or new climbing equipment. Whatever direction you decide to go in take time to reflect on his passions. And remember if it is from the heart he is sure to love whatever you give him.

I thought I would change things up a bit and report on the upcoming trends in men’s fashion for 2012. Milan just finished up their Autumn/Winter fashion week so I’ve been scouring UK Vogue for all the latest updates. Fall is shaping up to be the season of the suit and nobody does it better than Christopher Bailey for Burberry Prorsum. He executed yet another flawless collection, showcasing the traditional edge of Burberry to his streamlined silhouettes. His show was called The Gentlemen and I can’t think of a better word that described this collection. A few other standouts for me were Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton and Alexander McQueen. I’m seeing lot’s of gray, blue, and black for fall with a splash of color.

I always love a good Pinterest find! I adore this print made by Conor Whelan. A simple guide on how to tie a bowtie. Trust me, if your guy is planning on wearing a traditional bow-tie on your wedding day, make sure he has this handy guide ready to go for he & his groomsmen. Also, this list of step-by-step instructions would also work!

Newsflash: All grooms do not have to wear the go-to black suit/tuxedo. Although it is a classic and you really can’t go wrong with black – there are plenty of options out there to show off your personal style & personality. Also, don’t be scared to pair patterns together, it gives men a masculine & sophisticated look (think Mad Men).
